The Vision
Designed for a business family of five, ‘Nilay’ is a 4010 sq. ft. duplex penthouse in Salarpuria Sattva Magnificia, Bangalore. The brief was clear: create a warm, elegant home that balances generational needs — from a young couple with a toddler to retired parents — while keeping it visually light, functional, and effortlessly luxurious.

Design Narrative
Set in the heart of Bangalore, Nilay is a 4010 sq. ft. duplex penthouse crafted for a multigenerational family — a young couple, their toddler, and retired parents. The design marries understated luxury with warmth and functionality, bringing harmony to five distinct lifestyles across two levels. Every detail was imagined to reflect a sense of comfort, clarity, and timelessness.
Foyer, Living & Dining
From Italian marble floors and marble-inlay walls to vibrant teal sofas and houndstooth chairs, the living room balances elegance with bold accents. A fluted glass and metal partition defines the dining space, where a custom PVD-coated marble table anchors the room.
The pooja room, all white with mother-of-pearl inlay, opens near a solid wood staircase with glass railings. Upstairs, a rust-orange sofa and compact bar add energy to the family lounge — perfect for match nights and movie gatherings.
Master & Kid’s Bedrooms
The master bedroom features a leather headboard, walk-in wardrobe with fluted glass shutters, and a skylit bathroom in luxe blue and gold tones. Sliding doors and corner seating add functionality and charm.
The toddler’s room brings in cheerful blue, green, and grey hues. A trundle bed, study, and custom wardrobes maximize floor space, while the bathroom uses terrazzo, cartoon tiles, and vibrant walls to create a playful vibe.
Parents & Guest Bedrooms
The parents’ room is serene with dusty rose tones, floral chairs, and a rich wine headboard. A sliding partition leads to the walk-in and a matching bathroom with floral patterns and gold detailing.
The guest bedroom, though compact, is layered with texture — a fluted dresser, jade green tufted headboard, and dual-tone wardrobes. The attached bathroom features soft green tones, printed tiles, and in-wall niches for depth.
