Brigade Exotica
The Space

The Vision

To craft a calm, contemporary home where clean lines, subtle contrasts, and purposeful detailing shape every space. The brief was modern minimalism — and the vision evolved into a spatial story told through muted tones, gold highlights, and carefully concealed functionality. Every room reflects clarity, balance, and intent — a home that feels effortless yet refined.

The Outcome

Design Narrative

The design for Brigade Exotica hinges on restraint and harmony — where fluted textures, lacquered finishes, neutral palettes, and soft lighting come together to create an atmosphere of refined minimalism. Each zone is designed with specific utility and emotion in mind — from an inviting foyer to a moody master bedroom. Blue and grey form the visual base, offset by warm wood flooring, gold trims, and glass surfaces. The flow between private and shared spaces is seamless, yet each room maintains its individuality through custom detailing and careful proportion.

Foyer & Partition Wall

The entrance is designed to conceal, not reveal — with fluted white shutters hiding full-height storage. A fluted glass partition adds separation without closing off the space, while gold accents layer in warmth and texture.

Living & Dining

The dining space is grounded in ivory and gold, with flanking crockery cabinets and a marble-top table acting as the room’s visual centre. A false wall at the kitchen entry provides balance. Sleek wall moulding and soft overhead lighting enhance the quiet luxury.

Kitchen & Bar

The kitchen’s open layout demanded a high-function, low-distraction approach. We used deep blue and beige shutters with gold Hafele profiles for a refined sparkle. All appliances are integrated to maintain flow. The adjacent bar area features pocket shutters that conceal or reveal the space as needed — ideal for entertaining without excess.

Bedrooms

  • Master Bedroom: A deep, calming palette of greys and blues defines this space. The accent wall, ambient lighting, and tailored soft furnishings create a snug, cocoon-like atmosphere.
  • Guest Bedroom 1: Clean and contemporary, this room plays with classic blue tones and minimal forms. Wooden flooring adds contrast and warmth.
  • Guest Bedroom 2: Grey undertones dominate here, with black wardrobe handles adding sharp visual breaks. A recessed bed niche and textured wall complete the look.

TV Wall

The media unit features a lacquered glass back panel, designed for a flush TV inset. The finish keeps the visual language consistent — sleek, minimal, and reflective.
